Ann Koenig Otto descends from German and Swiss colonists in the Midwest.

She studied stage and lighting design at Vassar College as well as painting and print making at institutions as diverse as Cooper Union and Casper College in central Wyoming.

In a world increasingly directed by the rules of algorithms, her work aims to surprise — to disrupt the swipe speed of looking.

Her work encourages viewers to soak in the joy of pattern, shape and color - in other words, the raw data of life.
